Getting ready for the future with robotics!
Our Year 4 pupils had an exciting visit from Heron Hall Academy, our secondary school, for a fun robotics workshop. This was part of our transition activities to help children feel more confident and excited about moving to secondary school.
The children built and programmed robots, working together in teams to solve challenges. They used their creativity, learned new skills and had lots of fun!
These kinds of sessions are a great way for younger children to get to know the Heron Hall staff, ask questions, and see what life in secondary school is really like.
We know that moving to a new school can feel like a big step. That’s why we run lots of events like this — to make the journey smoother, build confidence and inspire curiosity.
Thank you to Heron Hall for giving our pupils a brilliant learning experience!
