Music At Kingfisher Hall

Music is part of everyday life at Kingfisher Hall. Children sing, play instruments, listen to different types of music and learn how to perform together. These experiences help them build confidence, concentration and joy in learning.

All children take part in regular music lessons. They also have chances to perform, work with visiting music specialists and experience music from different cultures and traditions. We want every child to feel included and able to take part, whatever their starting point.

Music supports language development, creativity and emotional wellbeing. It helps children express themselves and feel proud of what they achieve. Our Music Development Plan explains how we make sure all pupils receive a high-quality music education.

We review this plan each year so that it continues to meet the needs of our children and reflects national expectations.

Music Opportunities Beyond lessons

Music continues beyond the classroom. Children can join singing groups, take part in performances and enjoy creative projects that bring learning to life. These opportunities help them build friendships, teamwork and confidence.

We also work with local music organisations and partners to widen children’s experiences. Performing for families and the community helps children feel valued and proud.

Through music, children develop skills that support their learning across the curriculum and help them grow as confident, expressive individuals.
