Minister praise Kingfisher pupils
We were proud to welcome Feryal Clark MP, Minister for AI and Digital, to Kingfisher Hall Academy. She visited to see how our ‘Force for Positive Change’ work is helping pupils grow in confidence, responsibility and ambition.
During her visit, she spoke with pupils and staff about the importance of learning, digital skills and preparing for future opportunities. Pupils shared their ideas and explained how they are using their knowledge to make a positive contribution to their community.
The visit recognised the strong values and forward-thinking learning taking place at Kingfisher. We thank Feryal Clark MP for supporting our work and celebrating the achievements of our pupils.
Supporting Alopecia UK
Our school community recently came together for an Art and Design Technology Exhibition that celebrated creativity, effort and personal achievement. The school was transformed into a welcoming gallery where families and visitors could experience the wide range of artwork and design created by our pupils.
This event also supported our ‘Force for Positive Change’ work. In partnership with Alopecia UK, we helped raise awareness of the experiences of children living with hair loss and contributed funds to support their work.
The exhibition showed the confidence, imagination and commitment of our pupils. We are grateful to families and staff who supported this event and helped make it a meaningful experience for all.
Standing with the Windrush generation
Pupils at Kingfisher Hall Academy have been taking part in a long-term project to learn about the experiences of the Windrush generation and the importance of fairness and justice. Through lessons, discussions and community engagement, pupils have developed a deeper understanding of history and its impact on people’s lives today.
As part of this work, pupils have written letters, raised awareness and taken part in campaigns to support those affected. Their thoughtful contributions have been recognised beyond the school, with national attention highlighting the strength of their commitment and values.
This project reflects our belief that education helps children grow into informed, compassionate citizens who understand how they can make a positive difference in society.
Race against hunger

Pupils and families recently took part in our Race Against Hunger event, showing determination, teamwork and a strong sense of responsibility for others. Every year group participated, creating a positive and energetic atmosphere.
As part of our ‘Force for Positive Change’ work, this event helped pupils understand how their actions can support people in their community. In partnership with the Trussell Trust, we also raised awareness of food poverty and the importance of kindness and shared responsibility.
Thanks to generous support, £306 was raised. More importantly, pupils developed confidence, resilience and an understanding of how they can help create a more caring society.
